    Mussolini declared a "March on Rome" and threatened to take over the government. This lead to King Victor Emmanuel III surrendering and asking Mussolini to govern.

    After the March in Rome Mussolini came to power. He was a fascist which meant he had different views than the League of Nations, so him coming to power meant the people were rebelling against the League of Nations.

    Japan seized Chinese arsenals in Manchuria and began to take over the entire providence. The Japanese blamed China for the murder of a Japanese officer. China then protested leading to Japan leaving the League of Nations.

This was called a "dress rehearsal" for World War II because Germany and Italy sent men, money and weapons to help the rightists, while the Soviet Union sent technicians, political advisers and equipment to help the republican government.

    Japan invaded China with the goal of taking over China. The Japanese consider it the "Pacific War" and the rest of the world considered it the beginning of World War II.

    Hitler threatened to invade the Sudetenland and add it to Germany. There was then the treaty of Munich, in which Czechoslovakia said that Germany could have Sudetenland, they agreed to this and then the next day Hitler took over all of Czechoslovakia, breaking the treaty.

    Germany sent 1 million troops into Poland. Poland was not equipped to defend itself and soon Germany annexed Poland into its new empire. The Soviet Union and Germany then each took half of Poland. Right after this France and Britain declared war which was the beginning of WWII.
