Mom's First Cancer Operation
My family had to evaluate the possible outcomes of the risky surgery. We had come to a decision to operate due to the high probability of survival rate and the probability of a long life (10). This was the right choice because we had gained insight (10) on the procedure and knew there was a high survival rate. -
Grandpa's Life Support
My grandpa had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. He was put on life support right away. He wasn't getting any better no matter what the doctors did or tried to do. Earlier that month someone else in our family had to be taken off life support. The decision was made by my family where everyone contributed to the discussion (10) on whether or not to keep him in on life support. This was the best possible choice as he wasn't getting better and his body was shutting down.
