    COBOL was acronym for COmmon Business-Oriented Language. Developed by Conference on Data Systems Languages which was worked by the U.S. government and private sector. It was used for portability which meant running on computers without modifications and readability which meant the program used English words to run instead of conditions.

    RPG was an acronym for Report Program Generator. It was developed by IBM. It was used for creating code that can be merged into business operations to ensure a high level of efficiency.
