Both countries believed their policies were the best and ultimately wanted all others to follow. They never really fought there for the name "cold." The war ended in 1991 after the Soviet Union dissolved into its component republics.
  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
    Following the Supreme Court decision to end segregation in schools, the ruling of Brown v. Board of Education further extended those rights to all schools in the United States. Students of all races were allowed to attend the same schools. San Antonio was among the first cities in the U.S. to comply with the order.
