    Throughout his early childhood he was exposed to a lot of styles and this is evident in the range of styles he composed for. From the age of 11 he began to arrange keyboard Sonatas by J.C Bach.

    Between 1773 and 1781 Mozart had spurts of movement to and from Salzburg due to work commitments, however it wasn’t until 1781 when he finally settled in Vienna and became a holistic musician; performing, composing, teaching and conducting.
  • The piano concerto era

    It was between 1784 and 1786 when Mozart was at the peak of composing piano concertos and it was during this time that he composed the Piano Concerto No 21. (Specifically 9th March 1785). The timing of it was crucial as he had a tendancy to write pieces for during the lent period and this was one such opportunity.
