He made 2 golden calves and he turned the hearts of the people and he started the downfall of Israel and the split of Judah and Israel. Rehoboam was the king of Judah and Jeroboam was the king of Israel. he reigned 22 years.

    Rehoboam was a king who was also Solomon's son. He becomes king after Solomon dies. He was a marginal king. He made Israel take taxes. Israel did not want that so they stoned the tax collector with stones. He was the king of Judah and Jeroboam was the king of Israel. Rehoboam reigned 22 years. He did not repent but the people did so God had mercy on the people. He was a bad king.

Solomon brought out a sword and said he will half the baby and give one half to each the woman. But the mother cried out and said that the other woman could take the baby. Solomon knew this was the mother so he gave her the living baby. Solomon built an amazing temple with LOTS of gold!

    Solomon had many wives from different cultures that worshipped foreign gods and he got dragged into it. The one was called Asherah she was a goddesses.They would go into the trees and have a huge party that was practically everyone hooking up. One of the gods were that you would burn your 1-3 year old child that came from a concubine. Then they would play music that would mix into the screams of the child for the worship time. That's the one called Malik. These gods were the worst.

    Reigned 41 years. Asa's grandmother was a which so he took her out of rule. God gave lots of battles into his hands. His first mistake was that in the battle against Israel he didn't ask God for help. So for his punishment God sent a prophet and when the prophet said he would be punished he locked him up in prison. Then he got a disease in his feet. He did not trust in God at the end so he died.

    Jeroboam was making offerings when a man of God visited him. The guy cried to the altar and said "The house of David shall have a son. His name should be Josiah, and he will sacrifice the priests from the high places on you. And the alter should be destroyed!" He gave a sign, the sign was that the altar would be torn down. When Jeroboam heard he pointed to the man and the hand that he pointed with was dried up. Then the altar was torn down and made into ashes.

    He son gets sick so he sends his wife in disguise to see Ahijah. Who was the prophet that told Jeroboam he would be king. But since they worshipped other gods Ahijah told her that the son would die. When the wife of Jeroboam stepped through her threshold her son died.

    He reigned for 25 years he was a good king. He reigned over Judah. The best thing that he did was destroy all the idols mostly the Asherah though. He also appointed judges over the tribes. The biggest mistake he made was he made lots of treaties with the wrong people. He had a war against 3 kingdoms and they sang and all the people that went against him and they all killed each other. It took them 3 days to collect all the spoil.

    Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal on Mt. carmel. They cried out to there god while Elijah mocked them. They cut themselves open to worship him. But their god did not respond. Then it was Elijah's turn and he soaked his alter and everything on it. Then he prayed and God answered with fire that ate up EVERYTHING. Then the drought ended and the rains came.

Elisha told him to bathe in the jordan seven times then he would be healed. So with a bunch of protesting he finally did and he was healed. He tried to give Elisha money and clothes but he didn't receive it.

Elisha told his servant to open his eyes b/c he did not believe they could win against the Syrians. Then Elisha prayed and the whole army got blind. Then he took the army to their enemy and the enemy fed them supper and sent them home.

    He was a king who did what God wanted but he did do bad things. He was a picture of christ. He killed Joram, Ahaziah, Jezebel, Ahab’s Descendants, and Relatives of Ahaziah.

When Zachariah said this he was in the temple with Joash. Joash decided to stone him. And he did. The servants thought this was horrible so they killed Joash.

    He reigned over Judah. The first thing he did was execute all the people who killed his dad. He obeyed God and won battles. But the battle that he fought against the false gods. He won it but came back and worshipped other false gods. He was good at the beginning but then he became bad. He was executed.

    He was a prophet who prophesied to the kings. He was one of the prophets who comes up with the kings. He was a good prophet he wrote the book of Isaiah.

He sacrificed his sons on the altars. The punishment was that Israel and Assyria and Syria would completely defeat them. They went to war. Israel sent their captives back to Judah. He moved the Altar if the Lord out of the temple.

He was shot by an archer b/c he went to battle w/o asking God.

Then he went to Israel and destroyed there idols including the golden calves then he dug up the bones of the priests and burnt them on the alter.
