    Cord Phone
The first phone I remember using to call friends was one hanging on our kitchen wall. When you called someone's home you never knew who was actually going to answer the phone and had to wait for someone to find them.
  • 1st Home Computer

    1st Home Computer
This is the first type of computer I remember having in my home growing up. I remember having to get off the computer because people in the house needed to use the phone and you couldn't do both at the same time.

When the colored Mac Computers came out I thought they were so awesome! I wanted my parents to get one at home. They looked so stylish compared to the other computers at the time.

When we got our cordless phone I thought it was so awesome because I could take the phone into my room and talk to my friends. With the cordless phone came a new problem...lost phones around the house.

    Flat Screen Computer
When we got our flat screen computer it was great. It was faster than the other computers and it took up way less space. Sometime before this we also got internet that wasn't dial-up and so we could use the computer whenever we needed.

    Flip Phone
I got my first phone for my 16th birthday. I was so excited to have my own phone to talk to my friends. I remember having to be very careful because I could only talk a certain amount of minutes each month and had a limited number of texts.

    Laptop
For Christmas my senior year I got my first laptop. I thought it was so great! It seemed so fast compared to our home computer and was easily portable. Compared to laptops today it weighed about a million pounds.
  • Slide Phone

When I left for college I got the LG Chocolate phone. It was super awesome because it slid open to reveal the keypad. Texting also became unlimited and I could send as many texts as my heart desired.
  • Smart Phone

When I got home from my mission in 2014 I got my very first smartphone. It felt that it gave me so much independence with a GPS because I wasn't worried about going new places because it could get me anywhere I needed to go. I also loved be able to search for answers to questions almost instantly on the internet.
  • Tablet

    Tablet
I got my first tablet in 2015 and it is the one I still use today, even though it may be a little outdated. I love it because it has a bigger screen than my phone and is great for reading my digital books on.
