1750- Iron Act
The Iron Act of 1750 was a British law, Passed by the Parliament of Great Britain. It was designed to encourage the American maunafcuter of more Pig and Iron bars by the American Colonists It was intended to stem the development of colonial manufacturing. -
1765- Stamp Act
The Stamp Act imposed a direct tax on the colonists. This was imposed by the British government. The Stamp Act was unfair to the colonists. The Stamp act was put on the newspapers and legal and commercial documents. Every piece of paper that the colonists used was taxed by the British. -
1767-Townshend Acts
The Townshend acts were a series of laws passed by the British Government. They placed new taxes and took away some freedoms from the colonists. The acts were introduced by Charles Townshend. The British wanted the colonies to pay for themselves. These acts continued unrest in the colonies. There were 4 Townshend acts. -
1770-Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a street fight that happened on March 5 1770 between The Patriots and Britsh. The patriot mob attacked the British and it was a bloody brawl. There was a trial after the brawl and John Adams defended the British. This led directly to the Royal Governor evacuating the army from the town of boston. -
1773- Boston Tea Party
The Boston tea party was a protest by the American Colonists against the British Government. They did the protest by boarding t3 trade ships in Boston Harbor and throwing the ship's cargo into the bay. They threw around 300 boxes of cargo into the bay. This was the first act of defense by the American Colonists. They eventually led to the start of the Revoluintray war. -
1775- Bunker Hill
Bunker Hill was one of the bloodiest battles of American History. The British won the battle at bunker hill but with over 2, 000 people dead or injured they paid a big price. The British took bunker hill and Breeds hill. This event was a big event that leads to the Revolutionary war. Bunker hill had a big tactical advantage. -
1775- Battle of Lexington and Concord
The Battle of Lexington and concord singled the start of the Revolunatry war. The British army set out from Boston to capture rebel leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock. The colonist was warned by Paul Revere that the British were coming. The battle of Lexington was a very small battle. This was when the shot around the world happened.
