    Perpetua was thrown in prison along with her friends for being a Christian. She gave birth in the prison and her dad pleaded her to say at the trial that she was a Pagan but when the trial came she and her friends all said that they were Christian. They were then thrown into a stadium with warriors and animals and were all killed. Her and her friends courage influenced others to stay Christian.

    Diocletian and three other emperors were trying to bring together the Roman Empire and they believed that to do that they all had to have the same Christianity. This was the most severe persecutions of Christians. The Christians struggled a lot during this time but they still lived. Several thousand Christians were killed and this event ended when the emperors began to fight for power.

    Constantine became emperor and supported Christianity as a Pagan. On the battlefield him and his soldiers saw a cross and other things, then he had a dream to put a Christian symbol on their shields and he did, they won. He then made the Edict of Milan making Christianity legal and brought the idea of religious freedom. He built a city that worshiped Christianity and became Christian on his deathbed.

This relates to Christianity because Constantine believed that when he saw the cross it was a symbol for Christianity and that it helped him win the war.
