  • Thirty Years War

    Thirty Years War
    The Thirty Years War was caused by many things. In 1618 the European nations attempted to kill the king of Bohemia, imposed Catholicism throughout their domains, and the protestant nobles rebelled. During the war, their were many lives that were lost. By the time the war was finished, there were a total of 8 million deaths. The war started because citizens were not happy with the fact that Ferdinand II ordered destruction of the Protestant Church.
  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights
    After the overthrow of King James II, William III and Mary II became co-rulers of England and signed the English Bill of Rights act which made it a law in 1689. This act was very important because it implied certain rights which lead to constitutional monarchy to be given in the 17th century.
  • War of the Austrian Succession

    War of the Austrian Succession
    The Austrian Succession war was originally a fight over who would take the Austrian throne. Even though that was the main reason, people still fought for their own desires and what they personally wanted. During the war, Fredrick's army defeated the Austrians in 1741 and raided Silesia. The Austrian Succession was important because it was a step in turning Prussia into a strong European power.

    The Revolution is the most important event because that is when the 13 colonies of North America became independent and possibly could have started from the result of series of events that may have occurred or maybe even from the Gap between the colonists and British. Either way, the colonists lives began to change. During the American Revolution, the thirteen colonies rejected the British monarchy and overthrew the authority of Great Britain and founded the US.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was the first tax levied that occurred for the American Colonists. This Act occurred when the British Empire was in deep debt. Their debt occurred right after the 7 years war and took the North American colonies as a revenue source. The goal of this act was to raise enough money for the needs of military defense along with other things citizens might need.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The treaty was signed between Russia, France, Great Britain, and many more. The treaty started mainly because of the wars that the Western European Powers started to protect Ottoman Turkey from Russia. The treaty of Paris is what ended the Thirty Years wars and ended the conflict between Europe and North America. The treaty was important because it is what gave peace between Europe and North America. It ended the war and gave freedom to Americans.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    The Tennis Court Oath was a dramatic act used to define the nonprivileged classes of the French Nation. It all started at the beginning of the French Revolution. This oath was important because it was the first step of forming an organized protest of the French Government which lead up to the French Revolution. The oath was a pledge that was signed by about 577 members of the Third Estate during a meeting in a building near the Palace of Versailles.
  • Storming of the Bastile

    Storming of the Bastile
    The reason for the start of the Storming of the Bastile, was because of the Ancient Regime and how they spent a fortune on backing the American Revolution. The Bastile also was brought by a bunch of circumstances that weakened the respect for the Authority of Ancient Regime. During the Storming, angry Parisian citizens captured the infamous Bastile prison, which was known as the symbol of monarchist oppression in France. This was important because it was the representation of monarchy.
  • French Revolution

    French Revolution
    The French Revolution began with the Storming of Bastile. The Bastile was a huge castle that was later turned into a fort to repel attack. The Revolution was important because it codified the Declaration of the rights of man and began many independence movements. During the French Rev. many peasants rioted, protested and formed a new government. France saw the end of the monarchy ruling and decided to start something new.
  • Reign of Terror

    Reign of Terror
    Main causes of the Reign of terror were because of many people that were obsessed with the feeling of anti-victory. So many people were suspected of many activities that involved helping France's enemies. During the Reign of Terror there was a period of time when the French Revolution struggled between political factions and rivals took a mutual radicalization, which lead to many violent executions. The terror was important because it let membership of society no matter what their beliefs were.
