The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a big part in starting the hatred. The British passed a law to get rid of the taxes on tea because they needed money from becoming bankrupt. The American Colonists saw that the prices were lower and started buying tea from the British. The people from Boston didn't like that. So what happened was the people from Boston dressed up as Indians, anchored the 3 British ships down, and threw the tea into the water. -
The Stamp Act
The stamp act was a law that they passed making it so all of the paper products. This made it so the colonists had to pay more to more to get the stuff that was needed. -
Boston Massacre
This was a big part for the British. There was a big crowd building up in front of the Boston customs house taunting the British solders. The British solders didn't like that at all. So they started shooting at the crowd to make them leave. -
Intolerable Acts
This part was a big part because if America didn't do this, Britain was not going to be in a good boat. America passed a law shutting down Boston harbor and got all of the British over to America. Then they ended up making Boston end up under a martial law which is military is making people stay inside there houses. This made Boston have it really hard too attack any of the British or the Americans. -
Battle at Bunker Hill
The British general sent British troops up the hill to the colonists. The colonists were holding there fire until the very last second. The colonists and the British ended up fighting each other. -
Lexington and Concord
The battle of Lexington and Concord is the shortest battle, but had one of the biggest impacts. The British were coming over to concord. There were minute men who were blocking them. The British told the Minute men to put down there weapons and walk away. The minute men starting walking away with there weapons and one of them shot. It started a war with the British and the minute men and ended up finishing with the British on top of them. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was the part that ended the entire revolutionary war. That is why the Declaration of Independence is such an important part of Revolutionary War. The declaration of Independence was the reason the colonists got there freedom back from Britain.
