    Paul Feyerabend was born in Vienna on 1924. Feyerabend did very well in high school, especially in physics and math and seemed to have higher than average grades, in his class. In 1942, Feyerabend was drafted into the military governed under the Nazis, called the Arbeitsdienst. His time ended in the war in 1945, and he recollects this time of his life as a nuisance and an interruption to his life.

    During Feyerabend's time in war, he had taken a bullet to his spine and afterwards had hardships because of this inconvenience to his body. After the war was over, Paul went to the try and find a job from the mayor, in the town of Apolda. This is where he lived at that time. They gave him an education section job in the sector of entertainment (he had previously had interest in drama in his high school years). Eventually, he went on to study singing and theatre at a university in Weimar.

    Paul left the university in Weimar and returned to study at the University of Vienna. At first, he had planned to study physics, math, and other sciences, but he switched subjects and found philosophy to be a big interest of his. Ultimately, this subject stuck with Feyerabend, which ended up helping him to be able to meet Karl Popper, a great philosopher of that time. There were many other influential philosophers that helped build Feyerabend's opinions during his life, including Hollitscher.

    Paul Feyerabend's original thesis at the University of Vienna was about physics, but ended up being in the subject of philosophy. After getting his doctorate of philosophy, Paul fell under the advisement of Karl Popper. The first publishings of Paul included many articles on various subjects, that included his thoughts on Wittgenstein's "Philosophical Investigation". Paul went back to Vienna and was eventually appointed a position at the University of Bristol, England.

    Later on, Feyerabend started a job as a professor at the University of California, Berkley. He published many important works around this time of his life, too. "Against Method" is Feyerabend's best known work. This book was originally written to go along with Lakatos, his friends, work.The main concept in Feyerabend's book was the argument that there should not be a methodology assigned to the way science grows and innovates. His final book written was his autobiography and he died in 1994.
