    Nikita's birth
    On april 15th, 1894, Nikita was born. Nikita's parents were Sergei, and Ksenia Khrushchev. Nikita was born in Kalinovka, Russia, which is only 11 kilometers from the Ukraine border. It is a fairly small, rural place, which is very cold. This event is very significant to history because a future leader is born.

    Nikita Khrushchev joins the Bolsheviks in 1918. The Bolshevik party was a socialist party formed in 1898. The Bolshevik party attempted to unite all of Russia.     On February 25th 1956, Nikita Khrushchev gave a secret speech. The premise of this secret speech was to promote de-stalinization, and destroyer his reputation. In the speech, Nikita talks about Lenin's testament, which basically says that Lenin knew Stalin would abuse his power and become the way he was back then. This event is important to history because people started to dislike stalin and his ideas and more people started to stand behind Khrushchev in his journey to de-stalinization.

This marked the end of the space race, and the start of the race too the moon, which would be won by the United States. This is an important event in history because it marks the first object that was man-made to go into space.

    Nikita Krushchev had taken the position of Chairmen of the council of ministers. This council was the main executive and administration for the soviet union. This event is important in history because this is when Nikita Krushchev took control of the Soviet Union.

This proves to be useful in repairing the countries broken relationship, especially after the cold war era. This event is significant to Khrushchev's history, because although he did some good things like signing the nuclear ban treaty, Khrushchev had still been the leader of the Soviet Union.

    In october of '62, Nikita Khrushchev had missiles put in Cuba, which started the Cuban missile crisis. This was a 13 day skirmish between the United States and the Soviet Union. This event was important to history because the two world super-powers were on the brink of a nuclear war. This marks a point in time where people were scared to walk outside their houses or go to school,

    Khrushchev sends a letter to current USA President JFK, stating that the missiles from Cuba will be removed. This is a significant event in history because this is the first step in de-nuclearization, and will eventually lead to the nuclear ban treaty, which ends the cold war.

    A nuclear ban treaty is signed by many countries' leaders, including the soviet union. Khrushchev signed this in support of banning nuclear weapons after the cold war. This is an extremely important event in history, because the Soviet Union, and many other countries that were on different sides during wars, had come together and signed a treaty banning nuclear warfare.

    The famous mission called 'Apollo 11' contained Niel Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Micheal Collins. Niel Armstrong was the first human too set foot on the moon, making history. The Astronauts had collected samples of the moon, left an American flag on the moon, and a sign stating "We come in peace for all of mankind"
