    Nelson Mandela died on September 5, 2013. South Africa's first black president died in the company of his family at home in Johannesburg after years of declining health that had caused him to withdraw from public life. Mandela was fing multiple sickness in he final months of his life he lived to be 95. (Bourgoin 186)
