History of Winston Churchill

  • The year of where he was born

    -Born in 1874 at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire (later moved to Dublin where Ireland was completely controlled by United Kingdom at that time)
  • His Childhood and Academics

    He attended a boarding school called St. George School, where he suffered his poor academic stake. However, he was excellent in poetry and history. Pursuing his career as a cadet in the military, he was admitted to the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, he joined as a cadet. Building his foundation for his education, he attended for 15 months and graduated from the school in 1894. During his free time, he attended various protests outside including the closing of the Empire Theatre.
  • A first step in being a lieutendant in the mitlitary infantry

    As a second lieutenant in the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars (Regiment) in the Royal Army, he witnesses many things that inspire his move at his military actions after the painless feel of his mother’s death in July 1895. He then assigned to a bungalow in Bombay, India (at that time, the country was imperialized by the British). He made his expedition across the imperialist country for over 19 months before his tenure as a journalist.

    His Composed Books as a Jouralist

    At his interests in the British Parliamentary Campaigns, he joined in the Bindon Blood Mankind Force near Northern India. His published works were praised from The Telegraph & The Daily Telegraph. While in his military years, he composed many books, such as his first work of The Story of the Malakand Field Force, which largely resulted in many positive reviews.

    World War II (Churchill's Role as Prime Minister)

    At the helms of the Royal's hand fighting against the evils of the Nazi's with United States and Soviet Union involved, Churchill involved in many events, such as during the D-Day event and in the the Pacific. Churchill was honored in a lot of factors, such as the relations with working together with President Franklin D. Rooselvet in ending with the war. His success came with a lot of international support.

    In response of the Nazi's revenge after the failed European-United States Coaliation of the League of Nations, and between the British-French Relations from 1924 to 1930 that destroyed the German's benefits becoming a nationality, German people started to suffer loss of depression with inadequate economy and the living that Germany has to offer. This lead to Adolf Hilter started ganining his own power to be an authorization nation where facism was born, where he wiped Jews and invaded Poland.

    Battle/Bombing of London (The Finest Hour)

    The sounds of the bombs dropping in no man's land, stabbing the Britian's heart of the country started out on July 1940 with German's Luftware Air Force involved in the battle. Many Britians were terrified when the bombs were on strike. Intensity of warfare was happening and the battle was still raged for the next entire 3 months. On October 31, 1940 , the last air battle was raged. More Luftware Air Force was shot down (with bombers involved) as Churchill calls the battle "The Finest Hour."
  • Begining his term of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

    After his precedessor Neville Chamberlain resigned due to his failed actions in ongoing invasion in Poland and other parts of Western Europe, Churchill steps in on May to take his stand in counterattacking Germany to invade Britian and other allies by land, sea, and to the people of him.
  • End of his Prime Minster of the UK and joining as the Leader of the Opposition

    Despite of the success of his outcome on his term as a leader, his loss of the 1945 election caused him to be as a the leader of the opposition in the Parlimennt. The King accept Churchill as the leader of the National Government, except for the non-party figures. He would continue to pursue as the leader until he was later reelected in 1951

    Second Term of the Prime Minister of UK

    With the help of support to lead his second term of the Prime Minister, he faced a lot of challenges, starting with the Mau Mau upririsng in Kenya & Malaya, the relations with the US on many factors such as Korean War, however his disagreements and discouragement with President Eisenhower lead to his closure on his resignation as Prime Minister on April 1955. His stroke was the cause of his resignation
  • Nomination of the Nobel Peace Prize

    Churchill was recommend to be selected for the Nobel Peace Prize, based on his actions during WWII, but wasn't recognized for the award until in 1953 that he was finally selected to nominate the award. According from the web, he was awarded for the Nobel Peace Prize of Literature, "for his mastery of historical and biographical description as well as brilliant oratory in defending exalted human values."

    Health Problems and his death

    Through his confidence on his elections, but fell onto his loss of his candiancy, he faced the landslide of the of his mental physical capabiltes as his symptoms begans growing worse. He continued living with the very own of his best at his house in Hydre Park Gate in London, with his retirement home at Chartwell, until his passing on January 24, 1965.
