The revision of realism.
Hilary Putnam has made his contributions to philosophy in the areas of epistemology and metaphysics. He believed that to understand something realistically to make logical sense relys on external reality. He worked on mathematical logic trying to solve unsolvable math problems. He developed many theories on "meaning" and revised his interpretations of realism several times.
