  • Jamestown, Virginia

    Jamestown, Virginia was established as an English colony and was the first successful colony on the US continent via colonization of the continent.
  • Boston Tea Party

    A group of patriot Americans dressed as Indians and boarded British merchant ships as they dumped 342 crates of tea in the harbor, signaling the "no taxation without representation" fight.
  • Beginning of the Revolutionary War

    British soldiers confronted a fleet of American soldiers where a shot was fired thus igniting the Revolutionary War
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was signed and created, which was soon rejected by the British government via King George III
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Far into the Revolutionary War, American soldiers defeated British forces in Saratoga, New York. France had also aided American in the battle creating an alliance with France shortly after.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown was the final battle of the American Revolutionary War when British troops surrendered to American forces in Yorktown, Virginia.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Marked the end of the Revolutionary War as well as Britain had finally recognized the United States of America as Independent, being signed by representatives of both parties.
  • Bill of Rights

    Created 10 amendments for the US to follow under law by the process of protecting an individuals freedoms and liberties.
  • 3rd President of the US

    Thomas Jefferson became the third president of the US, intending to limit the president's power and much more.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Thomas Jefferson influenced the Louisiana Purchase, which was when the US acquired territory bought from France for 2 million dollars which greatly expanded the America territory
  • 7th President of the US

    Andrew Jackson was one of the first to be elected into office despite having not come form a wealthy family as well as coming form the position of a general within the US Military
  • 16th President of the US

    Abraham Lincoln served as the 16th President and fought for the freedom of slaves took a major role within influencing the Emancipation Proclamation.
  • Beginning of the Civil War

    Shortly after Lincoln's election into office, 11 states had fled the Union in protest as "independent states", which were referred to as the Confederate States. This sparked the beginning of the American Civil War
  • Battle of Gettysburg

    The Battle of Gettysburg has its famous representation of the most casualties within the Civil War, if not a majority of wars fought by the US. Union and Confederate troops fought against each other, the Union had won the battle after 3 days of relentless fighting
  • Assassination of Lincoln

    Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth at Ford's Theatre and died shortly after being shot in the head.
  • Industrial Revolution in the US

    Within the 1900s, shortly after the Civil War and Lincoln's Assassination the Industrial Revolution began within American sparking jobs and factory jobs within the US as well as the production of new materials like steel to build gigantic buildings shaped in different ways. It was also plagued with monopolies, mainly by the railroad industry and held some of the richest men in the US at that time. (Date is not correct month and day wise)
  • Sherman Antitrust Act

    Banned monopolies within the US to occur due to many industries using different techniques to cash in money, etc.
  • WWI US Involvement

    Despite desperately trying to stay out of foreign affairs within the war, the US was pulled in after German submarines continued to use submarine warfare on boats that were not military orientated after strict warnings not to. This led to American soldiers fighting the German troops, trying to stop them from invading other countries borders and territories as well as creating the trench warfare technique. The war was soon ended by the Treaty of Versailles.
  • The Great Depression

    Shortly after the war the US had an economic boom (the gilded age), which cause people to by multiple amounts of stocks within the stock market. This led to the economy dropping drastically resulting the Great Depression. People became poor, the rise of hobos as well as disease related deaths, etc. Due to this, social security was soon created as well as banks having extra money to be stored rather than running out of money.
  • WW2

    The US, despite trying to stay neutral once more was bombed by pilots known as the Kamikaze ( 神風) who were Japanese. This caused the US to join WW2 along with the Allies versus the Axis Powers. D-Day was the defeat for German forces within the battle and atomic bombs of Hiroshima (広島) and Nagasaki (長崎市). This ended the war in August 1945 for the Japanese and May for the German side.
  • The Cold War

    The Cold War presented as a rivalry between the US and the Soviet Union. It also brought up a scare of nuclear threats within the US as Russia had been known for its practice with nuclear chemicals shortly after the atomic bomb shown off in WW2. This also sparked things such as the Arms Race and the Space Race, but the Soviet Union eventually fell apart due to its economy.
  • The US Economy Booms

    In this period of time the US economy booms after many events like the moon landing as well as more morbid events like the scandals of President Nixon and the Vietnam War. Regan helped boost the economy and it lasted even longer than the boom back after WW1 before the Great Depression.
  • 9/11

    The travesty of 9/11 was a terrorist attack where two planes were hijacked and flown straight into the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York. This was broadcast on TV for the entire country as they watched several innocent civilians die. The towers eventually collapsed leaving any hope for survivors on any floors no chance. There is currently a memorial built at the location of the towers.
