Persian wars
The Persian war was a war between the Persian empire and the united Greek city-states. It started due to the Greek city-state, Athens, helping a rebellion against Persian rule along in Anatolia. By the end, The Greek's won, Athens entered it's golden age, and the Delian league was created and lead by Athens. -

Golden age of Athens
The golden age of Athens took place between the Persian war and the Peloponnesian war in the Greece city-state of Athens. During this time Athens was the leader of the Delian league, had a explosion of culture, and the creation of the first direct democracy. -
Period: 431 BCE to 404 BCE
Peloponnesian war
This was a war between the Delian league, lead by Athens, and the Peloponnesian league, lead by Sparta. After it was clear the Persian's were no longer a threat and the high fee, city-states tried to back out of the league, Athens in response would conquer/enslave the city-state. In the end, Sparta won the war after segueing Athens for multiple years. -
Period: 334 BCE to 333 BCE
Alexander the Great conqueror's Greece/Persian empire
After the Peloponnesian war the Greece city-states were weakened by war and Alexander's father conquered Greece. He died soon after and Alexander took over as king. He quickly conquered Greece, then Anatolia, Egypt, Persia, and India. He turned back after India and died from Malaria at 33. The combination of all these cultures created Hellenism.
