    The Persian War was a 50 year war between Persia and the Greek city states of Athens and Sparta. They Greek citys states united in order to keep Persia from invading. The main battles were Salamis, Thermoplyae, and Marathon, and were fought on both the land and sea.     The Golden Age of Athens was a fifty year period of peace between the Persian and Peoponnesioan War. It was during this time that Pericles worked towards a more democratic city-state and rebuilt Athens.     Peloponnesian War
    As Athens rose in power Sparta began to see them as more and more of a threat that needed to be taken out, this how the Peloponnesian War began. Athens was the Delian Leauge, while Sprta formed a new group called the Peloponnesian Leauge.
