    Birth of Forrest Gump
    Forest Gump was born in Greenbow,Alabama. He was mentioned by his mother that he was named after the founder of Klu Klux Klan, named Nathan Bedford Forrest.
    As a little young boy, when he was going on the school bus, at first no one wanted to him to sit next to them. However a little girl named Jenny offered a seat to Forrest. That was the first time Forrest met Jenny. Afterwards, they became very good friends.

    Even though Johnson was assassinated, he is remembered for his "Great Society" social service programs, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and expanding U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

    The USA was afraid that communism would spread to South Vietnam and then the rest of Asia. It decided to send money, supplies and military advisers to help the South Vietnamese Government. So overall their goal was to prevent communism from spreading to neighboring countries.

    Jenny gets involves in the Counterculture movement; becomes a Hippy. counterculture youth rejected the cultural standards of their parents, specifically racial segregation and initial widespread support for the Vietnam War. However in the movie, Jenny is revealed to be a drug addict and a prostitute. Women during that time had it rough. They barely have equal opportunities and were treated like "toys." Men often took advantage of them for their own goods.

    Former President, John F.Kennedy's little brother, Robert Kennedy is assassinated. Senator Robert Kennedy is shot at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles after winning the California presidential primary. Immediately after he announced to his cheering supporters that the country was ready to end its fractious divisions, Kennedy was shot several times by the 22-year-old Palestinian Sirhan Sirhan. He died a day later.
