Angel Island was very crowded and dirty. I had to stay there for 6 days before being allowed to enter America. When I first got their I could smell a horrible stench. When I left Angle Island I was captured and sold as a slave. I entered the cave and was instantly knocked out by a falling rock. Thankfully I was saved by my new best friend Robert. I have other friends like frank, Joe, smith, Danny, Sean but we aren’t so close. -
days in the mine
We all enter the mine like usual but we all don’t always come out. I have seen plenty of men get crushed by rocks get exploded or get trapped and starve to death. If you get trapped by falling rocks most likely you will go insane and kill yourself or other before you die of starvation. The mines have played with my mind plenty of times but not as bad as my friend Joe. He ate 3 men to survive, they died on their own he didn’t kill them. -
My four best freinds die
They were walking out with me and Robert when an explosion happened down in the cave. Joe, frank, smith, Danny all ran down to see if the miners we ok when the ceiling collapsed on frank. Me, sean, and Robert we stuck on the other side while Joe, smith and Danny were stuck on the other side. We were all trying to dig them out but there was too much rock and dirt. We could hear the miners screaming while Danny, Joe and smith were carrying them out of the mines but they were still trapped. -
Sean gets deported
The day finally came, Sean gets deported. The chines exclusion act banned him to come to the United States, but he was already in the U.S they can’t deport him. Well they did the sent him out of America and when he tried to come back he was stopped. Eventually he tried to sneak across the border and was shot and I wasn’t told if he was killed or not. Me and Robert never saw Sean again and don’t think we will. -
Me and Robert get trapped
It is nothing that you would ever expect. Complete darkness except for whatever flash light or fire you made, but that isn’t smart since there are a lot of deadly and flammable fumes. We didn’t have any food so we ate rats. We didn’t have any warm clothes so we got frost bite. We almost died. Robert passed out plenty of times I did too. We were stuck down in the caves for 10 days. I lost my left hand and Robert lost his right foot.
