    The French and Indian war was between France and England. They were fighting because both wanted land. The French wanted to expand south and the British west.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was when the French and Indian war stopped. It said that we Americans couldn't settle past the Appalachian Mountains.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    That was when the colonies couldn't settle past the Appalachians Mountains. Only experienced traders could go past.
  • Sugar Act

    The sugar act was one of the taxes England but on the colonies. It was when the colonists had to pay for their molasses and sugar.
  • Townshend act

    The Townshend act was yet another tax. It was a tax the that British soldiers could live in the colonists houses. It was also known as the Quartering act.

    The Boston was literally the first battle of the American revolution. People have different perspective on how it happened. All I know is that Redcoats and Colonists were shooting.

    The Tea act was one of the taxes made by the British. It taxed the tea. That act lead to the Boston Tea party.

    The Boston Tea party was when the colonists dumped all the tea. It was response to the tea act. They wasted lots of English tea.

    The Intolerable act was to reimpose strict British control. It just was to tell the colonists who was the boss.

    Concord and Lexington was the first battle of the American Revolution. Paul Revere rode through the colonies and stopped in Lexington. That's where the battle began.

    So the British were advancing on the colonists. The colonists finally fired, making the British retreat. But obviously the British came back in there lines.

    This is right before the battle of Trenton. George Washington had to cross the icy Delaware. It was rough since they had to get cavalry over.

    The Battle of Trenton was when the colonists attacked the German on December 25. That was the first victory of the colonists.

    The Declaration of Independence was when we had Thomas Jefferson write our Independence. It was the day when we Declared that we were no longer part of New England.

    The Siege of Yorktown was the last battle of the Revolutionary War. It was when both sides were just tired of fighting so England surrendered. That was it.
