    The 19th Amendment gave female citizens to the right to vote, not mattering what sex they are. Harriot Stanton Blatch introduced parades, pickets, and marches to draw attention to this cause. This helped the 19th Amendment get ratified.
  • Harding wins Presidential Election

    Harding wins Presidential Election
    Warren G. Harding was a Republican that won the 1920 Presidential Election. He won 60% of the popular vote and 75% of the electoral vote. He ran against Democrat James Cox and Socialist Eugene Debs.
  • Sacco-Vanzetti Trial

    Sacco-Vanzetti Trial
    Sacco and Vanzetti were arrested and accused of armed-robbery on a shoe factory, during which two people were killed. This trial lasted nearly seven weeks. On July 14 of 1921, Sacco and Vanzetti were found guilty. A lot of people believe that they were only convicted because of their immigrant backgrounds and radical beliefs.

    The Teapot Dome Scandal was a bribery scandal. It began when the Secretary if Interior leases the Teapot Oil Reserves in Wyoming. Albert Bacon Fall secretly granted the oil to the Mammoth Oil company.

    A school teacher, John Thomas Scopes, was charged with violating the Butler Act by teaching the theory of evolution to his classes. The Butler act forbided the teaching of any theory that denied the bible story of Creationism.
