    Prohibiton occured between 1920-1930. The 18th amendment caused alcoholic beveragaes to not be legally manufactured, transported, or sold in the US.

    During the 1920's, many people had extra money to spend. The extra money was spent on clothes, appliances, radios and etc.

    October 29, 1929 became known as 'Black Tuesday' since this was the day that the stock market crashed.
