  • Operation Ranch Hand

    IT is an US operation during Vietnam War. It was a chemical Warfare Program. The air crafts sprayed 20 million gallons of herbicides over rural areas fo South Vietnam. After 10 years of spraying herbicides, the forest and crops were heavily damaged. Also, some areas around Laos and Cambodia border was sprayed..
  • The gulf of Tonkin Incident

    While US marine was performing a operation in the area of international water, the North Vietnamese boat attacked the marine. US air craft bombed on the boats. One US air craft was damaged and three torpedo north vietnamese boats were destroyed.   • Operation rolling thunder

    It was air bombing campaign against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Its aim was to boost the military strength of the Republic of Vietnam ( south vietnam ). Communist leader declared every citizens were soldier to fight as Anti Americans. Vietnamese aircraft acted out in ambust operation. Rolling Thunder reached the last stage of its operational evolution during 1967 and 1968
  • Tet Offensive

    Tet is named for the lunar new year holiday of Vietnamese people. It was known as Tet offensive since North Vietnamese forces and Viet Cong Forces began a surprise attack on South Vietnam at the day of lunar new year holiday which no one expected. Tet offensive played as a turning point of the Vietnam War as there began the American troops withdrawal.
  • My Lai masscre

    Since most vietnamese people supported the North Vietnamese communist force, american soldier had many suspicions on the villagers and commited the mass murder.Most of the victims were women, children, infants, and elderly people. Some of the women were gang-raped. Eventhough 26 soldiers are charged with the committing of My Lai masscre, only one who is the leader of platoon company was convicted, Found guilty of killing 26 villagers, he was sentenced to death but relased after 3 years.
  • Paris Peace Treaty

    It intened to start peace in Vietnam. It ended US military involvement . It made a temporary cease fire between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. War involvers signed the Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam on January 27, 1973. The agreement was not ratified by the U.S. Senate.

    After a series of offensive against the South Vietnam by North Vietnamese captured the Saigon, the capital city of South Vietnam. It is the end of Vietnamese War.
