The attack was the largest disturbance by the Can Vuong monarchist restoration movement of the late 19th century. The aim of the revolt was to inspire a wider uprising among the general population in an attempt to overthrow the colonial authority. -

A resolution of excluding certain countries (Annam, Cambodia, etc) required a change in name. The ICP was the party of the working class and would help the sake of all the poor and waged people. There were many slogans of this party, i.e To realize equality between man and woman & implement an 8 hour work day. -

Although the youngest president, he had some miltary experience as a commander in WW2 and being in the U.S. Navy in the Office of Naval Intelligence. He is most well known and well remembered because of his thoughtful speeches and vigor, as well as settling foreign affairs and domestic policy. -
Ngo Dinh Diem (and brother) Assassinated

In Ho Chi Minh City where Diem, the president of South Vietnam, as well as his brother, were assassinated, was a rather large turning point in the Vietnam war. This act was by coup d'etat lead by General Duong Van Minh. The motive behind this act was the dissatisfaction with Diem's regime as well as his lack of respect and fair treatment for his Buddhist citizens. -
The Gulf Of Tonkin Resolution

This even was extremely important to the United States because it allowed President Johnson to undergo military action to aid Southeast Asia without actually declaring war on North Vietnam. The resolution was passed as a response to the sea battle between the North Vietnamese Navy's Torpedo Squadron 10135 and the destroyer USS Maddox in the Tonkin Gulf. -

This relates to the Vietnam Conflict because when the war started many people that were sent to fight in the war, were not old enough to vote.
