George took his dog on a nature walk and when he returned he noticed that burs were sticking to his shirt and on his dog. He put one of the burs under a microscope and noticed that the hooks on the burs were sticking to the loops on his clothes. "Wink wink" -
Now Theres An Idea!
After months of thought, George made the design of a fastening system that uses hooks and loops. He called it Velcro, coming from the words VELour and CROchet. -
