  • Oct 15, 1492

    Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue

    Columbus set sail for India. Columbus had spain finace his mission and in return he promised gold and a route to India sailing west. Though he never did keep his promises he did discover the Americas.
  • May 17, 1511

    The First Enslaved Africans Arrive in the Americas

    The first slave arrived in Hispanola and would be used on Spanish plantation's. Slaves were first brought to spain to be converted then shiped to the New World.
  • Nov 10, 1521

    Cortés conquers Aztec Empire

    Despite Cortés having 600 men to the Aztec thousands he still managed to conquer them. At firstthe Aztecs greated the Europeans with food and gold. Europeans though wanted all the gold and soon became very greedy. Cortés declare war and even though they are low in number they still win. The win using surperior weaponry and diases they carried wiped out thousands of the population during the war.
  • Aug 5, 1533

    Pizarro conquers Incan Empire

    Pizarro uses his superior weaponry to capture the Incan king Atahualpa. With there superior weapory and the Incan's missing there king they easily were able to take the land now called Peru.

  • English found Jamestown

    Jamestown was an English colony set up in Virgina. The captian was John Smith adn he was able to create fort and the colony and protect themselves from neiboring indians. Some indias were friendly and traded with the settlers. The next winter after arrival was harsh and killed left the settlers with only 60 people out of the 214 they started with. Desspite this setback the colony still grew.

  • English found Plymouth

    100 settlers headed for the New World aboard the Mayflower. Many of these people were in search of practicing free religion. This group of settler would arrive at Plymouth Rock. Though about hlf died during the first winter it eventually was able to become a colony.

  • French and Indian War ends

    The french India war also know as seven yrs war was between the French and the Engish. They fought for North America. The colonies ended up winning and claiming many of the french lands. The cost of this war caused the English to be in dept and eventually leads to the american revolution.
