    Greece invaded Troy by sea. The first greek to land was Protesilaus, he was killed. The Trojan War had begun.

    Agamemnon had kidnapped Chryseis from a priest. He was the priest of Apollo. Apollo was raining fire on the Greek army. Agamemnon gave Chrysies back to the Priest to stop Apollo's wrath.

    The goddesses were still fighting over who was more beautiful. The other gods were fighting over whos side to take in the war. Some took Greeces side some took Troys. Zeus urged them to stay out of it.

    Achilles was angry at Agamemnon for taking Brices from him after he gave Chryseis back. He also spoke to his mother, who advised him not to enter the war. Greece had lost their greatest warrior. Zeus also helped get him out by sending down bad dreams & visions to him.

    The War was well underway. Both sides suffered many casualties, but they kept going. On Olympus, the gods were more seperated than ever. Zeus decided to take the Trojan side along with Hector, a great Warrior. Hera was on the Greek side.

    Years of fighting passed with not much happening. Olympus was divided. Ares had sent himself down to Troy as a mortal to fight with the Trojans. A young Greek warrior Diomedes, was blessed by Athena. He killed Ares. Zeus was very mad.

    After the Ares affair Zeus was angered with the gods, but he was still focused on getting victory for the Trojans. Hera, with the help of Aphrodite was able to distract Zeus, and get him out of the battle. Eventually all the other gods followed

    War draws to a close
    Without the help of the gods, Greece took the advantage. Achilles killed Hector, and Greece pushed Troy back to its city walls. The walls around Troy were indestuctable, and Greece could not get in. The war would not end, and Helen would not be saved until Greece got into the city.

    Odysseus was one of the wise men of Greece he came up with a plan to get into Troy. He had a huge, hollow, wooden horse built. He was going to put his greatest warriors inside, and sneak them into Troy.

    Odysseus' plan went into effect. The horse was placed in front of the city gates. The greek army left on ships, to make it look like they had retreated. Troy accepted the horse as a surrender gift, and brought it into the city.

    That night, when everyone was asleep, the Greek soldiers exited the horse. They burnt down the city, killed all the men & children, & enslaved the women of Troy. They rescued Helen and the Trojan War had come to an end.
