Allie goes into an art gallery because of what Noah said to her the night before and when she goes back to her hotel room, she draws for 2 hours. She takes her drawing to Noah. 1365 -

Noah takes Allie on a canoe ride and they go from the lake to a river with a beautiful veiw and all kinds of bird. Allie spend the night at Noah's house. Lon ends up finding out about where Allie actually went. Total pages 1388 -

Allie's mother comes to warn Allie that she must make a decison about who she loves because Lon has come to New Bern. The story goes out of flashback mode and back to the present. Allie and Noah are both in a nursing home, and Allie has alzhimers. Total pages 1414 -

Noah is narrating his feelings about the alzheimer's and re-reading letters he wrote to Allie many years ago. Allie and Noah spend the day together and Noah goes througb what love means to him in his narration. At the end of the day they have dinner togther and a miricle happens....Allie rememebers Noah. Total pages 1443 -

Noah has a stroke and the nurses at the nursing home say that Allie missed Noah even though that is not seemingly possible for someone with Allie's disease. At the end of the book Noah sneeks into Allie's room on their 49th wedding anniversary and Allie remembers Noah. Total pages 1467
