The Movies of My Life

  • The Lion King

    The Lion King
I don't remember seeing this movie, but my Mom always tells me that I would watch it every day and that I always would tell her, "I want a pet lion." I saw this movie at home, obviously and this movie was released by Disney. "What's a motto?" "Nothing, what's a motto with you?" ~ Young Simba and Pumbaa.
  • The Titanic

    The Titanic
This movie doesn't need much explaining. In my mind, it's one of the greatest love stories ever. I first watched it a few years back, when I was just going through my VHS tapes at home. I heard my Mom say it was amazing, and the cover art really caught my eye. I love this movie, mostly because of the romance, but also because it's based on a true story. I always cry, it's just the most touching story of love in it's most complex form. "Our choices are never easy." ~ Ruth Bukater.
  • Rush Hour 2

    Rush Hour 2
I love this movie because of the humor and the bits of action. It's just a good family movie. I saw it first with my brother and Dad, in theaters. Then I loved it so much that I went out and got it on DVD. This movie was released by New Line Cinema. "I am not third world ugly, women think I'm cute. Like Snoopy." ~ Chief Inspector Lee.
  • Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone
This movie doesn't need to be explained, at all. I absolutely LOVE all of the Harry Potter movies. I love the books as well as the movies, the movies are just so similar and I love that. They picked the best people to play each character. "can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death." ~ Professor Severus Snape.
  • A Walk to Remember

    A Walk to Remember
The first time I saw this movie I saw it with my Dad, after ages of begging. He isn't the biggest fan of it and so it took a while to wear him down. I saw it shortly after it was released. This movie was released by Warner Bros. I love this movie just because it's so sappy and it shows that love can go against the odds and people can fall in love with someone that they don't expect to get feelings for. "Our love is like the wind, I can't see it, but I sure can feel it." ~ Landon Carter.
  • The Notebook

    The Notebook
I saw this movie at home with my Mom and brother, which seems odd considering it is a love story. I really just love this movie because it just shows how strong love can be, and the characters are so realistic. New Line Cinema released this movie in 2004 and made $13,464,745 in it's opening weekend. "If you're a bird, then I'm a bird" ~ Noah Calhoun.
  • Ps, I Love you

    Ps, I Love you
This movie is yet another chick flick, but I'm a huge fan of them. This movie really tugs at my heart everytime I watch it, it's so sad but at the same time so happy. I saw it at home with my Mom, after we got it at Blockbuster on dvd. I just fell in love with it. Especially with Gerry's plan to help his wife move on and start a new life. "Don't be afraid to fall in love again. Watch out for that signal, when life as you know it ends. P.S. I will always love you." ~ Gerry.
  • Dear John

    Dear John
This movie is based off another Nicholas Sparks' movie. I love Nicholas Sparks and his books, as soon as I heard that Dear John was going to become a movie I made plans to see it with my step mom and Dad. We saw it in theaters, opening weekend. Then I saw it two times after that. This movie was released by Screen Gems. "Two weeks together, that's all it took, two weeks for me to fall for you." ~ John Tyree.
  • Country Strong

    Country Strong
This movie was released a few days before Christmas. I didn't see it up until this past summer with my Mom at home. We were just scrolling through On-Demand and my Mom mentioned that it won a lot of awards and I figured "Why not watch it?" I turned out to absolutely love it, the music, the characters, just everything about it. It's a insipiring story of hope. "Don’t be afraid to fall in love, It’s the only thing that matters in life. Fall in love with as many things as possible." ~ Kelly Canter.
  • Soul Surfer

    Soul Surfer
This movie is based on the novel about Bethany Hamilton. I read the book a few years back and I loved it. When I was at my Dad's house, he wanted to watch a movie and refused to watch Incidious, so we chose this. This movie was produced by Brookwell-McNamara Entertainment. It's so inspiring and it shows that even people who suffer from physical losses can still fuction. "Surfing isn't the most important thing in life. Love is." ~ Bethany Hamiliton.
