    The development of the Internet started in 1957 when Sputnik I (Satellite) was launched by the Soviet Union.
  • First Recorded Info on Social Interactions via Networking

    The first recorded description of social interactions that could be enabled by networking were a series of memos written by J.C.R. Licklider of MIT in August 1962 discussing his "Galactic Network" concept.
  • ARPANET is designed

    In 1966 a man named Lawrence Roberts was convinced by Leonard Klienrock to create a network called the ARPANET. He went to DARPA looking to develop it.

    The ARPANET is published in 1967 later that years the line speed of ARPANET was improved from 2.4 kbps to 50 kbps
