In 1913 Henry Mosely published his discovery; using the application of X-ray spectra to closer study atomic structures. Henry proposed that with each element in order on the Periodic table, he found the X-rays of the elements increased in a straight fashion. He helped with more accurate placing of the elements on the Periodic table, by rearranging the order from atomic mass to atomic number. Which showed the progression of the elements and leaving space for more to be discovered.
