    The aims of the EU
    Robert Schuman presented the possible ideas to be the aims of the European Union that later would be the aims of the European Union. These aims are : To avoid conflicts between European countries, consolidate peace between the member countries and to compete with economy with another world countries.

    ECSC (European Coal and Steel Community)
    Belgium , France, Italy, West Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands created the ECSC (European Coal and Steel Community). This became very succesful, so they decided to expand their new project and they included all the aspects of their economy.

    The Treaty  of Rome, the EEC, and the EAEC
    They signed the treaty of Rome, creating the EEC (European Economic Activity), and the EAEC (European Atomic Energy Community. The first EEC member countries decided to put some new measures: -They put the economy in polices for all member countries.
    -They established free good movements, services, workers, and capitals between all countries of the EU.
    -They put new laws to help to strength political cooperation.

    The Maastrich treaty
    The Maastrich treaty started. They transformed the EEC to the European Union's name. The Maastrich treaty led to: -At an economic level, they established one market.
    -At a political level, all the citizens of the EU were known as the: European Citizenship.
    -At a social level, 2 policies were adapted: the educational policie and the environmental.

    When the Treaty of Lisbon started, this produced some changes in the EU. These are: -It validated the Chart of Fundamental Right to European citizens.
    -It created a new democratic voting system.
    -It improved the EU's decision- making process: An European president was chosen to represent the EU.
    -It strenghted EU foreign policies.
