Lithuanian Uprise

Lithuanians uprise agqaint the Russian Goverment. The uprise began because of being drafted into the Imperial Russian Army.

Lithuanaian Independence

Lithuania gains independence from Russia. After Germany taking Lithuanis from Russia Lithunia went off and decalred independece, as they did not follow Germanys rule.

Latvia-Independent state

Aug 11, 1918

Latvian National Council proclaims Latvia independent state. This is a result of Russia losing its control.

Estonia Independece

Feb 2, 1920

Estonia gains there independece from Russia. They wated there independece from Russia because of the differing cultures.

Latvian Constitution

Feb 15, 1922

There first Constitutuion was progulmated in Latvia. This is a result of gainig independece from Russia and Germany.

Soviet Invasion- Lithuania

Jan 1, 1939

Lithuania is pulled into the USSR. Pulled back in after German and Russian pact signed.

Germany-Soviet Non-Agression pact

Hitler and Stalin leave the Baltic states to the Soviet Union and Western Europe to Germany

Soviet Invasion-Latvia

Jan 1, 1940

Soviet troops invade Latvia and Latvia is incorperated into the Soviet Union. This invasion was for the Soviet Union to gain more territory.

Soviet Invasion- Estonia

Feb 14, 1940

Estonia is incorparted into the Soviet Union.Pulled back in after Germany and Soviets made pact.

Lithuanian Independence again

Mar 11, 1990

Lithuanaia gains independece from Russia again. This is the final time Russia would have any reign over Lithuania.

UN- Latvia

Sep 17, 1991

Latvia ia admitted into the UN. After joining the UN helped economy steady out.

Estonia Currency

Jun 20, 1992

Estiona changes currency from the Russian Rubble to the Crown. This showed they were growing as a country and getting away from Russia.

Latvian President

Jul 7, 1993

Gnntis Ulmanis is elected president of Latvia, the first since latvia regained its full independence

Estonia-UN Negotations

Estonia starts negotations to join the UN. Joing the UN was a main goal for Estonia as a country.

Latvia Elects a Women President

Varia Vike Frebiga is elected President of Latvia. She is the first women president in Eastern Europe.

Latvia- Russian Language

Latvia Parliment passes law limiting the use of Russian language in schools. This was done to further the move from Russian rule.

Estonia and EU

Estonia joins the EU. After joining there economy has improved. Also there information and technology is leading the EU.

Estonia and NATO

Estonia joins NATO. Estonai also came up with an idea to help balance out the EU this helped them to get accepeted.

Lithuania and NATO

Lithuania is accpeted into NATO. They were the last of the Balrtic states to join and wanted to be apart of nato along with the other countrys that had suffered with them.
