    Family phone in the kitchen. The spiral cord was EXTRA long so that we could walk around the house whilst talking on the phone.

    My first technology that was just mine. I thought I was so cool listening to FM radio and that I could take it where ever I went.

    I remember the sound of the thump thump thump of the machine as our teacher would hand crank out copies. Then the aaahhhhhh smell of the copies. Brings back happy memories of school.

    First game technology bought for family entertainment. Came with 2 games: Pong; a tennis match type game and Asteroids; a space alien and UFO shooting game.

    First Microwave. Whole family standing stood around and was flabbergasted as we cooked our first scrambled egg.

    For Christmas my Sophomore year in High School I got a Boombox of my own. It was a big deal!!!

    Saved up and bought my first REAL Sony Walkman when I was in college. It was about $200. I was really excited about this purchase.

    I bought my first VCR at sears. I actually had to buy it on credit and make payments. I think it was around $300. I made payments of $20 per month.
