  • The First Military Submarine

    The First Military Submarine
    As early as the 1500's submarines were illustrated by many people. Although I can't find an exact date of the very first build submarine, I could find when the very first military submarine was built. The very first military submarine built was named 'The Turtle.' It was created by a Yale graduate named David Bushnell, after being designed and created from 1771-1775. It was finally launched successfully in 1776.
  • Cotton Gin

    The first cotton gin was created and manufactured as Eli Whitney in the year of 1793, but was signed as an actual patent in 1794. The cotton gin is a machine used to pick seeds out of cotton.
  • First Successful Steamboat

    First Successful Steamboat
    The very first steamboat was attempted to use in 1760, created by William Henry. It was unsuccessful. Another one of the first steamboats was tested out and used in 1787, created by John Fitch. All of his steamboats were unsuccessful. Steamboats were first introduced in the late 1700's and early 1800's. The first successful steamboat was tested August 7th, 1807.

    Invented by René Théophile Hyacinthe Laennec. This is when the first recorded manuscript was. The stethoscope is used for determining how much someone's heart is beating.

    Edwin Budding created the first lawn mower in 1827, but was not granted a patent on until 1830. The lawn mower is a machine used for cutting grass.
  • Telegraph

    The telegraph was developed in the 1830s-1840s by Samuel Morse. It was publicly displayed on January 11, 1838. The telegraph is used to transmit messages along a wire.
  • Gasoline Tractor

    Gasoline Tractor
    The first gasoline using tractor was created by John Froelich in 1849. He was also the first inventor of the internal-combustion traction motor. This is a vehicle used for agriculture to pull farm equipment.
  • Self Governing Windmill

    Daniel Halladay was asked by a salesman to create a windmill for water pumping. He manufatured his windmill successfully in one year.

    Also known as locomotive, this self-propelled torpedo was created by Robert Whitehead, getting its' name 'Whitehead Torpedo'.

    The phonograph was invented by Thomas Edison in 1877. A phonograph is also known as a record player, which uses cylinders to record and play music.

    X-rays are a very energetic form of electromagnetic radiation that can be used to take images of the human body.

    Henry Ford finished the first gasoline powered motor car after two years of experimentation .
  • Aspirin

    Invented by Felix Hoffmann.
    Its used to relieve minor aches and pains; reduces fever; ect.

    The first successful airship was finished being created in the winter of 1899, but was not tested by the creator, Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, until 1900.

    There is no exact date given of the first gun silencer, but it is for sure that it was invented in 1909.The silncer was invented by Hiram Maxim, with intention of using it to attach to guns to avoid the loud bangs that come along with shooting one.
  • War Tank

    The war tanks were first created being developed for a French project in 1903, called "The Levasseur prjoect". They were built by the British in September of 1915, and had many developmental processes and stages. The first use of tanks were by the British Army in WWI.

    Insulin injection is used to control blood sugar in people who have type 1 diabetes.
  • First Liquid Fueled Rocket

    There were rockets were created and used with gunpowder as early as the 13th century by the Chinese. In the 19th century, British engineers made several many advances in early rocket science. It was not until Robert Goddard's work in the 1920s that anyone began to build the modern, liquid-fueled type of rocket that by the early 1960s, someone would be launched into space. Robert Goddard's rocket was successfully launched on March 16, 1926.

    There is not an exact date given to when the first bread slicer was created, but it has been available since July 7, 1928. It wa created by Otto Frederick Rohwedder.
  • Nuclear Bomb

    First successful nuclear bomb was tested in New Mexico. The nuclear bomb was developed by a group of researchers called The Manhattan Project. The Manhattan Project was led by the U.S, being supported by the U.K., and Canada.
  • Maser

    Maser
    The patent granted for the first maser was March 24, 1959. The first maser was created by Charles Townes and Arthur Schawlow in 1954. The maser was used to amplify radio signals and it was also used as an ultrasensitive detector for space research. It was first known as a 'ray gun'.
  • Youtube

    Youtube
    The social website, Youtube, was founded by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim in 2005. It could be used for communication through videos, or video responses, and just posting informational videos.
