Mansa Musa's hajj to Mecca, 724 AH
His pilgrimage to Mecca is one of his most famous events. His caravan contained 60,000 people all clothed in silk. What fascinated most people was that Musa's baggage contained about 300 pounds of gold, in which he gave away to people in need along the journey. -
