Columbus was looking for a water route to Asia,because Spain found out they had many spices and riches that they didn't have.He eventually found America.This event was important because America would't have been found if it wasn't for his voyage. -

Cortes conquered Mexico.He conquered the Aztecs and it was important, because he sparked the Spanish exploring in North and South America because of so much gold he found. -

De Vaca Voyage Part 1
His leader was Pánfilo de Narváez.He explored Florida to search for gold.If he never went to explore he wouldn't have found Texas and that would have changed everything. -

De Vaca discovers Texas
He discovered Texas because he gets trapped in a storm which takes him to Galveston Island.There he met the Karankawas which he stayed for4 years.Then they escaped and traveled through central and west Texas.They were then found in California 8 years later. -

Fray Marcos and Esteban's Journey
The purpose of their journey was to study the land in the North.Esteban was then killed by the Zunis for demading their women and food.Fray Marcos then reports seeing the most beautiful grand and golden city. -

Moscoso's Expedition
Moscoso took over for his leader De Soto.They were given credit for the discovery of the Mississippi river.De Soto then died because of fever and theiy buried him near the Mississippi river but then decided to throw him in the river. -

Coronado's Expedition
He explored 5 states looking for the 7 ities of Cibola and later looking for Quivera on the 2nd part of the trip.His guide on the second part of the trip was ''The Turk.''the Turk is then killed by Coronado because he lied to him about the other golden city.He discovered the Palo Duro Canyon and the Grand Canyon.This was important because he wouldn't have found the canyons ig it wasnt for the lie of ''The Turk.''
