New Begingings
Katie meets Alex while working at the resturant , Alex has a daughter and Katie and his daughter get along. Alex has had a wife that past away but Katie doesn't know that yet.
As Katie and Alex begin to talk more , Katie begins to feel more comfortable around Alex .

Open Feelings
As Katie and Alex start to get closer Katie started to feel the need to open up to Alex. Katie tells Alex the way she is feeling about her situatuation. Alex is listening and Katie feels like she has become very close to Alex. -
Date
Katie and Alex will go on a date together. -
Seprate ways
Kevin , Katies ex husband , has an affair with a random woman -
Beach with Alex
Alex invites Katie to the beach with his daughter. Katie hasn't had a good time in several months or even a year. Katie is enjoying her time with Alex. Katie's past has really been getting to her so beach time with Alex made her feel like she was in paradise. Katie describes the beach as "the best day that she has had in a long time." RISING ACTION -
Interuptions
Kevin , Katies ex husband. Witch Katie was in an abusive relationship with trys to start troubles with Katie. Kevin found out that Katie was trying to get away. She says Kevin has his ways. Katie is thinking to herself i need to get out of southport as soon as i can. Alex and his daughter do not go because Alex doesn't know about Kevin yet ! INCITING INCIDENT RISING ACTION -
Who?
In the book "Safe Haven" the main character Katie is really Erin. Erin is Katie's real name. Alex doesn't know that Erin has switched her name to Katie. Kevin finds out that Erin has changed her name and is telling his co-workers. Kevin is going to find Erin. RISING ACTION -
Misson Complete
Kevin has completed his mission. Kevin finds Katie . Kevin has a plan to what he is going to do , so he sets out to do it . -
Troubles
After Katie (Erin) leaves out of town Kevin will chase after her. He thinks that everything is going to go his way and that he is going to have his "wife" back. -
Fear
This is a very fearful event for Katie (Erin) . She has come to the knowledge that Kevin is coming for her. She doesn't know exactly what he wants all she knows is that it is not going to be good. Katie is concerned with her life.
Katie still thinks about Alex. CLIMAX -
Danger
At this point in the book Katie is very well in danger.
After Kevin finding Katie at the store beleive it or not Kevin sets it on fire. This leaves Katie hospitalized. CLIMAX -
Recovery
Erin is in the hospital , and this is now to Alex's attention. Alex is at the hospital with Erin . Erin eplains EVERTYTHING to Alex , and alex is an understanding with her. This situation only makes Alex and Erin closer. Alex then tells Erin that "Jo" is his ex wife who has passed away. Erin takes walks in the woods and Erin always thought that she was talking to someone but really Erin was talking to a ghost. Erin would tell his gost everything. FALLING ACTION -
Thick & Thin
Katie knows now that Alex is going to be there for her through thick and thin after the whole situation with Kevin. FALLING ACTION -
Love
Alex and Katie end up being together . Kevin does die from self defense of Katie.
Alex beleive that Katie deserves to be happy. This is all she ever wanted. Katie is Safe and Loved now .
