    End of the French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War in 1754 to 1763 the war between Britan and France Broke out. In the Begging of the war France clamied more land than brittan. British colonists clamied land in the Ohio River Valley. in the end the french loose all land in North America and Britan clamied Victory!!!! The colonists view was that the colonists were very mad that Brittan won.

    The Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 banned all colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains. The colonists thought that they just fought for the land so the have a right to live were they pleased. The colonists were widely ignored because it was impossible for the British to enforce the colonists that they couldn’t live there. This led to the out break of war because it angered the colonists and the British.

    The Sugar Act in 1764 was a tax on sugar molasses and other products the colonies imported. The colonist’s view of this act was terrible. It was the birth of “Taxation without representation is tyranny.” The colonists protest and file complaints against the Sugar Act helped lead to the out break of the war because it made the colonists be angry therefore make the British furious! The Sugar Act repealed January 2 1766.

    The Stamp Act took place in March 22 1765. The stamp act is tax on diplomas, newspaper, contracts, and playing cards! Colonists did not like this. The British was making them pay extra money for things they needed! They felt it was an unfair tax they had no input in. The colonist’s reaction was Boycotts, and the Stamp act Congress was formed, also the “Sons of Liberty” is born. This led to the outbreak of war because it made colonists want to break out into outrage on the Britain’s.

    The Quartering act took place in 1765 March 22. The act was how British Soldiers could stay in any private home they wanted. The colonists especially hated this because they were forced to take care of them give them food and be hostel. The colonists felt violated, they felt this was not there job to do this. They reacted by complaints to the king and others even refused to let soldiers stay! This also led to the break of the war because they got angry and started taunting the British.

    During the townshend act Britan wouldent tax goods in the colinies. they taxed on imports including tea,lead, and glass. the colonists saw that there rights were still being violated. So they smuggled goods into the colonies. This reduced impports to the colonies.

    The Boston Massacure in March 1770 was a outbreak of war in the colonys. Two men made fun of one of the kings men trying to get a job. Someone was knocked down in the fight that broke out. So British red coat captian Preston was called. Then there was kahos and the colonists were teasing the soldires to fight and the british miss led it for a fire by there captian. Everything went down from there. The colonists were very angry and frusterated causing them to tease them with misleading "fire!

    The tea Act of 1773 stated that tea must be imported from the British east Indian Company in England. Tea is still taxed at 3 pence a pound. The company chooses who can and cannot sell tea. Because of this the colonial tea merchants are out of business. The colonists felt strongly about this act. They didn’t like how they had to get tea from a specific company and pay ridiculous prices. This helped the outbreak of war because of the Boston Tea Party.

    The cause of the Boston tea party was because tea was being taxed at 3pence a pound. the tea act, puts colonial tea merchants out of business. On December 16, 1773 90,000 pounds of tea in 342 containers were thrown overboard. 16 people participated. Because of this England closed the port of Boston until the tea is paid for. The trail was moved to England and town meetings were banned.

    England responded to the Boston Tea Party with the Intolerable acts. These acts stated that town meetings were banned they closed the port of Boston until the Tea was paid for. The trials were moved to England and the Quartering act was strengthened.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress
    The First Continental Congress was a meeting of the colonies to discuss what to do in response to Brittan’s taxation. Georgia was the only colony that didn’t attend. some famous people that attended was Sam Adams, john Adams, john jay, and George Washington. The action that continental congress took was they demanded the repeal on the Intolerable Act. They chose to boycott goods. And train militias. The colonists thought that they had a right to tax and govern themselves.

    On April 18 1775 at around midnight Paul revere and two others rode around Boston and Lexington to warn the Colonists that "The British are coming!" Because he did this the colonists were ready for war!

    On April 18, 1775, 700 British troops head to concord to seize munitions. 77 minutemen were waiting for British. The shots were fired and eight farmers. For the first time a war had begun soldier VS soldier.
