    The French and Indian war started. This was the war that caused the British to come in to America and the Americans defended their country by fighting back in the Revolutionary War.

    This act forbade settlers to settle on the west side of the Appalachian Mountains. And the American settlers wanted more land to settle on so they made a mob and that mob eventully caused the Revolutionary War.

    A form of tax requiring printed papers to be printed on stamped paper produced in London. The British found a way to take money from the Americans to they did it and the Americans didn't like so they fought back in the Revolutionary War.

    Townshend Acts
    A serious of acts that took away a lot of America's freedom. This caused the Americans to form militias and fight against the acts.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A street fight between a patriot mob throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks and a squad of British Soldiers. This caused other British controled cities to follow their lead and try to get their country back.

    A final spark to the revolutionary movement in Boston that was not intended to raise revenue in the American Colonies and imposed no new tax.

    A group of Patriots raided a ship at night and seized 342 chest of tea. making the British mad and they shut down one of the most used harbors and the Patriots wanted their harbor back so they fought for it.

    A name for punitive laws passed by the British Parliament. The Americans wanted their old laws back so they got mad and joined the Revolution.

    Lexington and Concord
    Battles of Lexingtion and Concord that kicked off the Revolutionary War. Other colonies fought back because they wanted their country back.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    A statement adopted by the Continental Congress that regarded Great Breatian as independent states. This let the Americans be free, this act would only work if they won the Revolutionary War which made the Americans want to win the war more.
