    Month 1- Baby
    At two weeks,it's the size of a pin head. The egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. Critical stage for brain and spinal cord development. Internal organs and circulatory system begin to form. the heart begins to beat.
  • Month 2- Baby

    Month 2- Baby
    The size of the baby is about 1/4 inch (6mm) long as the month begins. The face, eyes, ears, and limbs take shape. And bones begin to form.
  • Month 2- Mom

    breast begin to swell. Pressure on bladder from enlarging uterus results in need to urinate more frequantly. Possible nausea (morning sickness). Fatigue is common.
  • Month 3 - Baby

    Month 3 - Baby
    Size is about 1 in. (25mm) long as the month begins. Nostrils, mouth, lips,teeth buds, and eyelids form. Fingers and toes almost complete. And all organs present, although immature.
  • Month 3- Mom

    Breast become firmer and fuller, may ache. Nausea, fatigue, and frequent urination may continue. Abdomen becomes slightlky larger, The uterus is about the size of an orange. Weight gain may total 2-4 lbs.
  • Month 4- Baby

    Month 4- Baby
    Size is about 3 in. (7.6 cm) long. 10z. (28g). The baby can suck it's thumb, swallow, hiccup,and move around. Facial features become clearer
  • Month 4- Mom

    Abdomen continues to frow slowly. Most discomforts of early pregnancy, such as morning sickness, usally gone. Appetite increases.
  • Month 5- Baby

    Month 5- Baby
    The size of the baby is about 6 1/2 -7 in. (16-18cm) long. About 4-5 oz. (113-142g). Hair, eyelashes, and eyebrow's appear. Teeth continue to develope. Organs are maturing. Becomes more active.
  • Month 5- Mom

    Enlarged abdomen becomes apparent. Slight fetal movements felt. Increased size may begin to affect posture.
  • Month 6- Baby

    Month 6- Baby
    Size of the baby is about 8-10 in. (21-25 cm) long, and about 8-12 oz. (227-340g). Fat deposits under skin. but fetus appears wrinkled. Breathing movements begin.
  • Month 6- Mom

    Fetal movements sensed as strong kicks, thumps, and bumps. Some may be visible. Weight gain by the beginning of this month may total 10-12 lbs.
  • Month 7- Baby

    Month 7- Baby
    Baby size is about 10-12 in. long and about 1 1/2-2 lbs. Periods of activity followed by periods of rest and quiet.
  • Month 7- Mom

    Increased size may affect posture.
  • Month 8- Baby

    Month 8- Baby
    Size is about 14-16 in. long and 2 1/2-3 lbs. Weight gain continues rapidly. May react to loud noises with a reflex jerking action. moves into a head-dwon position

    Discomfort may result from increased size. Backache, leg cramps, shortness of breath, and fatigue are common. Fetal kicks may disturb the mothers rest. At the beginning of the month, weight gain totals about 18-20 lbs.
  • Month 9- Baby

    Month 9- Baby
    Size is about 17-18in. long, 5-6 lbs. Weight gain continues until the week before birth. Skin becomes smooth as fat deposites continue. movements decrease as the fetus has less room to move around. Acquires disease-ighting anitibodies from the mother's blood. Descends into pelvis, ready for birth.
  • Month 9- Mom

    "Lightening" felt as the fetus drops into the pelvis. Breathing becomes easier. Other discomforts may continue. A total weight gain of 25-35 pounds is typical. False labor pains may be experienced.
