    Treaty of Versailles
    The Treaty of Versailles was a document written by the world's leading powers of the time. It stated that Germany must take the blame, give its land to other countries, limit their military, and pay reparations that could cripple the country. The treaty was an attempt at peace. The document angered lots of people, specifically Germany, leading to WWII.
  • League of Nations

    League of Nations
    The League of Nations was an organization made in order to uphold the statements of the peace treaty and also to try and prevent another world war. The organization was made of many countries, excluding the United States, Germany and Russia. The League of Nations limited so many countries that they caused conflict, lending itself t a cause of WWII.
  • Communist International

    Communist International
    The Communist Party, also known as the Comintern was a group that was committed to the spread of communist ideas. The group was based in Russia under Stalin. They encouraged revolution which scared western countries. This fear made man countries distant from Russia, leading Russia to encourage Germany in WWII.

    Fascist Italy was led by Benito Mussolini. They believed in violence to settle disputes and hated communism. Fascism, while not the most extreme, is a form of a totaltarian government. This strict government encouraged enemies of communist countries leading to WWII.

    The hopeful years lasted from 1924-1929 when the stock market crashed. The time was a time a recovery from WWI. Otherwise known as the roaring twenties, the hopeful years were a time full of industrialization and change. In addition, there was a steady improvement in European countries in their economies. This high made the world more easily effected by the depression leading to WWII.

    Joseph Stalin was the communist leader following Lenin. Stalin was a large encourager of fear and propaganda. Schools started children very young in believing the communist ways. Women were encouraged not to work but to have children. This form of government was opposed by fascists which lended to conflict and the invasion of the Soviet Union in WWII.

    The depression began in the United States during October of 1929 when the stock market crashed. The crash had a ripple effect across the world, haulting the development being made in Europe. Unemployment spiked. This time was very tense between many countries, leading to conflict that was continued through the start of WWII.

    Japan invaded Manchuria, China in search of resources. This cause doubt between the nations on whether Japan was following previous agreements. The doubt was one cause for the bombing of pearl harbor, which entered the US into WWII.

    The Third Reich was Hitler's form of campaign after the Weimar Republic. The idea was to make the Gemran race the dominant race in the world. This ambition was very attractive to the failing country. The want for a perfect race encouraged the beginning of the WWII invasions.

    Germany entered into the league of Nations but eventually the rule of Adolf Hitler made it so that they were no longer receiving help from countries like the USA. This independence mad Germany hungry for more control, leading to WWII.
