In 2004, the Playstation Two Slimline was created and was the first major redesign of the Playstation Two. It was smaller, thinner, and quieter than the original Playstation Two and had some other changes made to it as well. -

On November 29th, 2005, the Playstation Two became the fastest gaming system to reach one hundred million units shipped, accomplishing this from five years and nine months from the date is was launched. -
Playstation Three Released
On November 17th, 2006, the Playstation Three was released. Its main competition was the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo WII. Originally offered with a 20GB or 60GB hard drive, the Playstation Three is now available with up to a 500GB hard drive. -
Super Slim Playstation 3
In 2012, Playstation announced the release of the Playstation 3 Superslim. It had a completely redesigned concept than the original Playstation 3 and was much lighter in weight. -
