Some ladies of the town gather to talk and gossip. One topic they include is the choir teacher, an incurable drunk. -
Act 2

High School Commencement
High School just got out, and George and Emily walk to a soda shop. -
George and Emily are engaged
George wins Emily over by taking her out to the soda shop and having a long talk with her. She decides she wants to marry him and they are engaged. -
The Day of Emily and George's Wedding
George is really exited to see Emily, but she is sleeping. They are married later that day. -
Act 3

Emily dies in childbirth
Emily dies while giving birth to her second child. -
Emily visits the land of the living
Emily decides to go back to her 12th birthday and painfully experiences it again. -
George visits Emily's grave
George comes and lays at Emily's feet at her grave. The dead ladies fuss over his behavior.
