There wasn't much information on when this was invented or used but there was one article that gave me a time frame and helped me pick the earliest year

Lyre

2000 BCE

This instrument was created in Sumer which at the time was what me now know to be Iraq. It kind of looked like a small harp in a way. It had a hollow body and was made out of turtle shell

Sambyke

600 BCE

This was created around the 6th Century of BC it had 8 strings on it and it kind of looks like a Hockey stick but the blade is swollen

Mayan Trumpet

Created sometime in 500 BC I'm sure you can guess by the name but it's a trumpet. It can be made of wood, clay or gourd. They were shaped like a didgeridoo with large bells at the end.

Sackbuts

This instrument is a trombone. It is from the Renasissance and Baroque era's. It is played by buzzing your lips into the mouthpeice

Viola de Gamba

It is part of the string family of instruments. It is very similar to the violin actually I'm pretty sure it kind of became the violin after a while with a few minor changes.

Cornettos

The cornett, Cornetto or even known as a zink is a wind instrument which as you can see by the date it was made sometime in the 1500's I couldn't find the exact date but it was sometime during that time period

Lute

The lute is a plucked string instrument with a deep back enclosing a hollow cavity. I got a bit more of a specific year then I could with other instruments.

Krummhorns

The Krummhorn is an instrument apart of the woodwind family it was mostly used during the Renaissance period a lot. It kind of looks like an umbrella stick or whatever the bottom part is called. As you probably seen it was made in the 1600's.
