  • Milk Man

    The first milk delivery ever made was in 1785 in Vermont. This was obviously the most ideal thing at the time but it was replaced later on by people buying milk from stores in the 1950s for cheaper making the milk man slowly fade away.
  • Phone Operators

    Phone Operators
    Phone operators which started getting used in 1878, it used to be how you would get a called directed to someone but that quickly came obsolete in 1967 after Direct Dialing was invented.
  • Maps

    Maps
    Maps have been around for a long time around 600bc. As much as paper maps still sell they're slowly becoming obsolete and soon will be completely obsolete. They were replaced by online and digital maps. The first digital map ever made was in the 1960s so I would say in 70-80s they started getting popular.
  • 8-Track Tape

    This 8-track tape blew up in the 1960's but slowly lost its fame to the Cassette tape. 8-Track tapes were completely obsolete in 1982 after car manufacturers were putting Cassette players instead of 8-Track players.

    The first known newspaper was distributed in Boston sometime in 1690.I feel like this is becoming if not already obsolete because of things like Iphone's and the fact i have actually never seen them.
  • VHS Tape

    VHS was released September 9th 1976 in japan. The VHS was replaced march of 1997 by DVDs as a easier alternative for prerecorded digital movies.
  • Tamagotchi

    In November 1996 the Tamagotchi was released. It was a small device on which you were given a pet but you must keep the pet alive by consistently feeding it and other fun games to keep it happy. Technically your virtual pet. It was replaced by man other video games the were maybe higher graffics and just a better preforming game
  • Richter Scale

    Richter Scale
    The Richter scale was made in 1935 by Charles Richter. This device measures the level of earthquake that might be approaching soon. As much as it is still getting used they are slowly getting replaced but other devices that are easier to use and give more accurate levels.
  • Filmed Camera

    The first selling Film using camera was in 1888 and made by George Eastman. But in 2993 there was a shipment of digital cameras which completely took over filmed cameras and fast. By 2006 there seemed to be almost no filmed camera sales and by 2012 it was considered a relic.
  • Phone Book

    In February of 1878 the phone book was created and considered "cutting edge technology" as many might say. But in 2012 as some north american cities by passed the law of handing out phone books they would be considered obsolete.
