    Colorado volunteers killed over 200 Cheyenne Indians along Sand Creek. They were waiting to work out the terms of their surrender to military authority.
  • Gold Prospectors& Battle of Little Bighorn 1867-1877

    Gold Prospectors& Battle of Little Bighorn 1867-1877
    They overran the Sioux reservation in the black hills. Lt. Colonel Custer and his men were sent to find the Sioux indians that went for food in Montana. Custer and 210 of his soldiers died at the Battle of LIttle Bighorn. In 1877 congress passed an act forcing the Sioux to return to their reaservation.

    Native American conflict ended at Wounded Knee Creek when soldiers and natives clashed, killing 25 soldiers and moore than 200 men, women & children.
