Prenatal Development and Birth
After developing for nine months, on June 23, 1989 at 3:02 a.m. I was born. My lungs collapsed and I was very sick, however after much care from doctors at the University of Michigan I was cured and sent home. -
The First Two years: Biosocial Development
My mom told me that I slept a lot during the day, but would wake up at all times during the night. I was also breastfed during this time. A little after I turned 1 was able to walk all by myself. -
The first two years: Cognitive Development
Around the time I am one, I begin to say my first words, first of which is mama. A few months later I drive my mom crazy and I begin to do things just to see what happens, for instance enjoyed taking change or dollars I found and putting them either in the toilet and flushing or down a heat vent. -
The first two years: Psychosocial Development
My mom was a stay at home so I became very attached with her. I hated to be seperated from my mom, everytime she would leave I would cry for long periods of time. We went to visit my grandmother at least once a week so I became close with her as well. -
The Play Years: Biosocial Development
I loved to color all the time, and my mom still has a lot of my pictures from back then. I was also a very picky eater. During this time I also learned how to tie my shoe. -
The Play Years: Cognitive Development
I had begun kindergarten, and I loved story time. My mom would always read to me at home, so it was comforting to come to kindergarten and be read to there as well. Also, during kindergarten I was a pretty good reader. -
The Play Years: Psychosocial Development
I was in kindergarten, and I was very social with the other kids. I could also be a little trouble maker and do things I knew I shouldn't just because it was fun to me! Also, I would take a toy away from a classmate just for fun or not let them play with mine. -
The School Years: Biosocial Development
I was around the same height and weight as everyone else in my class. I also enjoyed trying new activities, my favorite being playing on my school's basketball team for the young kids. -
The School Years: Cognitive Development
I hated math, and I wasn't very good at it. Also, my love for reading really furthered at this point. I loved going to the library and getting books, especially mystery stories. -
The School Years: Psychosocial Development
I got along with pretty much everyone, and had many friends. Friends were very important to me and I always wanted to hang out with them. I began having sleepovers and liked to at least once every couple weeks. -
Adolescence: Biosocial Development
I was home with my mom, when early in the morning I realized I began my menstrual period. -
Adolescence: Pyschosocial Development
I started to develop very close friendships, that to this day I still have and cherish. Friends and sleepovers were very important to me, and I loved to spend as much time as possible with them. Also, my dad and I started to distance and not get along with him as I did when I was little. -
Adolescence: Cognitive Development
My favorite subjects in school was spelling and reading, and I was very good at it. My mom would constantly have me read at home, so it would help me at school as well. -
Emerging Adulthood: Psychosocial Development
My dad and I got in a huge arguement, and I decided to move in with my grandparents. Also, I had gotten my first job at Hollister Co at the mall. -
Emerging Adulthood: Cognitive Development
I had been going to Catholic school all my life, yet I feel like this is when I truly started developing my faith and my views. -
Emerging Adulthood: Biosocial Development
I became very health conscious and wanted to work out all the time and eat healthy. I had lost a lot of weight, which not only improved my physical appearance, but my self esteem. Losing weight also made me average weight for girl's my age. -
Adulthood: Biosocial Development
Around the age of 27, I am to be married and within the year have twins, one girl and one boy. -
Adulthood: Psychosocial Development
I will learn how to maturely handle situations with my wonderful husband robby, and together we will grow not only within our relationship, but we will be wonderful parents. -
Adulthood:Cognitive Development
I will be in Nurse Practioner with a bachelors in both psychology and nursing. I will love my job and helping everyone -
Late Adulthood: Biosocial
Today is my 65th birthday, and I am a survivor of breast cancer. I am eating well and trying to walk daily to keep my health up. Lookswise, I am ageing will, just like my mother and grandmother are. -
Late Adulthood: Psychosocial Development
I am retired at this point, but staying involved in my grandchildren's events and activities. I will also be more involved in church activities. -
Late Adulthood: Cognitive Development
At 79 years old, I am going through memory loss. I will begin needing more help with remembering things, and help with activities since my health is beginning to deteroiate. -
Death
The day of my death, considering my family history I believe at this time I will have lost my battle with cervical cancer.
